Our team met at CNR ISSiRFA in Rome to discuss the research project preliminary findings.

The paper “Power Relations and Border Regions in Italy. The case of Innichen/San Candido (IT) and Sillian (AT)” by Ingrid Kofler and Alessandra Volgger has been published in Power in Transformation. Creative Practices as Catalysts of Change, edited by Mustapha El Moussaoui, Kris Krois and Teresa Palmieri (Oekom Science, 2025).

“Polycrisis and cross-border governance.
A glimpse from Italian borderscapes” by Raffaella Coletti will be presented at the seminar hosted online by the Centre for Political Economy and Institutional Studies, the Birkbeck Responsible Business Centre, within the Birkbeck Business School, London.

Our team organised and hosted two thematic sessions analysing Italian borderscapes after 2020 in the context of the Disruptive Borderlands conference, which took place in Luxembourg from September 4th to 6th 2024. The conference, organised by the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER), brought together the Border Studies international community.

The editorial “Confini e integrazione transfrontaliera nell’UE in tempi di crisi” by Raffaella Coletti has been published on the Centro Studi Politica Internazionale (CeSPI) website.

Our team participated to a congress on the governance of cross-border territories, which took place in Verona from September 12th to 13th, 2024. The congress was organized and hosted by the Department of Legal Sciences of the University of Verona.

Our team participated in the 35th Annual International Geographical Congress, which took place in Dublin from August 24th to 30th, 2024. The conference was organized by the Geographical Society of Ireland and the International Geographical Union, and hosted by the Dublin City University.

Our team participated in the 12th Annual By Design and by Disaster conference, which took place in Schlanders-Silandro and Vöran-Verano from July 10th to 14th, 2024. The conference was organized and hosted by the Faculty of Design and Art of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

Our team participated in the 36th Annual Congress 2024 of the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP), which took place in Paris from July 8th to 12th, 2024. The conference was organized and hosted by the Urban School and the Centre d’Études Européennes et de Politique Comparée (CEE) of Sciences Po Paris.

Our team participated in the 26th National Conference of the Italian Society of Urban Planners (SIU), which took place in Naples from June 11 to 14, 2024. The conference was organized and hosted by the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II.
